Tubeaxial models TXD and TXB, direct- and belt-drive axial fans are designed for use in low- to medium-low pressure ducted applications. They are generally used for removing contaminated or hot air found in industrial applications. They can also be used to supply air through duct work for cooling or pressurizing interior spaces. Tubeaxial fans are very versatile and compact units that move large volumes of air in duct systems with relatively low pressure losses.
Direct-drive and belt-drive centrifugal inline fans are widely used in square ducts as clean air boosters in both supply and exhaust systems where the installation of conventional blowers is impractical. Their compact design makes them an excellent alternative to conventional blowers. Centrex inline fans can be installed horizontally, vertically or at any angle determined by the duct work.
Direct-drive and belt-drive centrifugal roof exhausters are designed for roof-mounted installations in low- to medium-pressure applications. Domex fans are ideal for general purpose exhaust applications such as bathrooms, garages, kitchen areas, offices, churches, dormitories, factories, large warehouses and other relatively clean air applications.
The Dynamo fan is used for supply or exhaust applications in commercial, institutional and industrial HVAC systems. At the heart of the Dynamo is a computer-designed, backward-inclined, centrifugal wheel. This heavy duty, non-overloading aluminum wheel assures low-noise and high-efficiency performance.
Direct-drive and belt-drive centrifugal upblast roof exhausters are designed for medium- to high-pressure applications. They can either be roof or wall mounted. While suitable for general ventilation, Fumex fans are specifically designed to discharge contaminated or grease-laden air or heat/smoke up and away from building surfaces. The optional Fatrap restaurant grease exhaust configuration makes Fumex fans particularly well-suited for all food service applications and chemical fume hoods.
Gravity ventilators offer the Turbine, Pul-Air and Insul-Air models. Turbines are ideal for the general ventilation of factories, farm and agriculture buildings, commercial and public structures and homes. The Pul-Air is a simple device designed to permit an easy outward flow of air with no internal obstructions or moving parts requiring maintenance. The Insul-Air is the ideal choice where an extended airshaft is necessary (to clear the peak of the roof, for example). It features all the study construction details of the Pul-Air plus an extended airshaft and an integral flat mounting base.
PennBarry’s Muffan replaces foul or contaminated air that is removed by a building’s exhaust system. Such make-up air is so essential that it is part of safety and building code requirements for commercial kitchens, chemical laboratories, electrical control rooms, and anywhere gas equipment is installed.
Ceiling and in-line centrifugal fans are designed and constructed to be quiet and reliable. Extensive combinations of wheel sizes and speeds enable the Zephyr to cover a wide range of CFM. All Zephyrs feature acoustically insulated housings, custom-designed blower and motor pairings, motors mounted on vibration isolators and, for the all but smallest Z3H, dual inlet blowers.
Twin Zephyr Cabinet Fan
Single and twin unit belt-drive centrifugal cabinet fans are general purpose duct blowers. These versatile quiet-operating air movers provide economical, convenient and effective ventilation in ducted systems. They are also used extensively in heating and cooling systems. Cabinet units are sized with space saving in mind and finished with inlet- and outlet-connecting flanges and side access panels.
Tubular model REX direct- and belt-drive centrifugal in-line fans have efficient aluminum backward-inclined wheels and aerodynamic straightening vanes giving the Centrex a quiet efficiency unmatched by competitive models.
Fire dampers are fire rated for 1 – 1.5 hours or 3 hours and come with a static or dynamic rating and a 1650 fusible link. Optional features include a 2120 fuse link, various sleeve lengths and gauges, thin line frame, Type “C” housing for round or oval ductwork and stainless steel material.
Fire and Smoke Dampers
Fire rated for 1 – 1.5 hours (UL-555) and leakage rated as class I, II, III or IV (UL555S). Temperature rated at 250-degrees F or 350-degrees F (UL555S). Dampers are provided with a galvanized steel sleeve and qualified electric of pneumatic actuators. Patented Pneumatic Emergency Relief Valve (P.E.R.V.) is featured on standard pneumatic models.
Full, positive opening contributes to less power rob and a reduction in power usage. Dampers are constructed of extruded aluminum for a clean, fresh appearance with a blade linkage mounted on the side. Dampers are counterbalanced to provide true pressure relief. Dampers feature noiseless nylon bearings, are spark-proof and require less maintenance than competitive units.
Louvers are available in a wide range of configurations including acoustical, severe weather, aluminum, steel, volume-control and backdraft applications.
Air Terminal Units
Single duct air terminal units are at the core of today’s variable air-volume (VAV) systems, lowering operating costs by using less centrifugal fan energy and less refrigeration energy. Single duct air terminal units regulate conditioned air flow into an occupied zone in response to a control signal. Units are available in a wide range of control options including pneumatic, analog electronic, electric and direct digital control.
A square diffuser is engineered to deliver both conditioned and ventilating air. They evenly distribute air in a desired direction and enhance mixing of room air with the primary air being discharged, while producing a minimum amount of noise.
Linear diffusers maximize induction and occupant comfort. These units can be fully insulated and can be used for both ducted and plenum returns. Units are fully-customizable and are available in a number of configurations and finishes.
