Duct Heaters

E-Series – Flip-Able Duct Heater

e-series

– UL and ETL Listed
– Patent-pending “Flip-Able” design
– Symmetrically designed heater – no more left-hand or right-hand heaters
– One heater for six mounting positions with vertical up and downflow
– Can be rotated to fit the requirements and location of the HVAC system
– May be used as a stand-alone duct heater
– Offers lower standard heater wire watt density and higher duct to heat coverage

E-Series – VAV Flip-Able Duct Heater

e-series-vav

– Patent-pending “Flip-Able” design
– UL and ETL Listed for multiple uses within 20 inches of valve
– Symmetrically designed heater – no more left-hand or right-hand heaters
– One heater for four mounting positions
– Can be rotated to fit the requirements and location of the HVAC system
– May be used as a stand-alone duct heater or mounted directly to a VAV single duct valve system
– Offers lower standard heater wire watt density and higher duct to heat coverage
– More high and low kilowatt options are available in all sizes

R-Series – Round Duct Heater

round-duct

– Zero clearance approved
– Flex duct can be mounted directly to unit (2500F / 1210C rated), no transition or extra metal duct required
– Factory installed airflow switch and probe, no need to specify right or left airflow, superior design allows for operation in either direction
– Widest range of kW offerings in the marketplace
– Single point power connection
– Designed for up to 1000F / 37.80C air inlet
– UL Listed for the US and Canadian market

UL Listed Outdoor Duct Heater

outdoor-heaterwidth=

– Heater is UL Listed for outdoor applications
– All of the limit controls in all Tutco duct heaters are automatic resets or are manually resettable. There are no devices that have to be replaced when tripped
– In a horizontal airflow application, the airflow direction is not specific; it can go either direction without any modification.
– With the wire rack element suspension system, the heater coil is less susceptible to airflow shading and allows a very small pressure drop across the coils.
– All Tutco duct heaters carry a zero-clearance rating for installations into ducts.

DDH Series Duct Heater

ddh-series

– 50 or 60 Hz design
– High voltage and low voltage terminal boards to interconnect heater and remote panel
– Automatic limit switch for primary over temperature protection
– Grounding lugs
– Manual reset limit switch for secondary over temperature protection
– Left hand offset control box

RMC Remote Control Panels

rmc

– A de-energized magnetic control contractor per stage of each 48 AMP circuit within a stage
– A magnetic backup contactor for each 48 AMP stage
– 50 of 60 Hz design
– Fan interlock
– Grounding lugs
– High voltage and low voltage terminal boards to interconnect remote panel with DHD or DD heaters
– Mounting brackets.

Duct Heater Accessories

2 Pole Magnetic Contactor

2-pole

Magnetic contactors are standard in all duct heaters. They are used for primary or back-up control. UL approved for 250,000 cycle operation.

3 Pole Magnetic Contactor

3-pole

Magnetic contactors are standard in all duct heaters. They are used for primary or back-up control. UL approved for 250,000 cycle operation.

Air Flow Switch

air-flow-switch

The Air Flow Switch prevents the heater from being energized when the fan is not on. Non-adjustable airflow switch requires a minimum of .07”WC pressure. Adjustable airflow switch is available with a rating of .05” ± .02” WC to 12”WC.

Electronic Step Controller

step-controller

An Electronic Step Controller provides smooth sequencing of a duct heater up to 12 steps. When interruption of power occurs all the stages will recycle to OFF. When power is restored, the switches will re-energize in a stepped sequence.

Terminal Block

terminal-block

TUTCO Terminal Blocks are sized for high voltage copper conductors up to a 500 MCM line per pole. Heaters requiring feeders greater than 500 MCM will be supplied with main power terminal blocks which will accept two (2) parallel lines up to 500 MCM each per pole. Low voltage control circuit terminal boards are included for easy field connections.

Fuses Blocks

fuse-block

TUTCO offers a 3-Position Fuse Block required for NEC code and designed to UL standards. For heaters drawing more than 48 AMPS, contact the factory. Accessory fusing is available on heaters drawing less than 48 AMPS when requested.

Power Fusing

power-fusing

TUTCO provides Power Fusing to UL standards and NEC code required for heaters drawing more than 48 AMPS. Accessory fusing is available on heaters drawing less than 48 AMPS when requested.

Control Transformers

control-transformer

TUTCO Control Transformers are utilized when the control voltage differs from the incoming line voltage feeds. Our Control Transformers provide primary overcurrent protection. Class 1 units must have primary side protection via fusing. Class 2 units have internal protection and do not require additional fusing unless specified.

Main Power Connector

power-connector

TUTCO Main Power Connectors are high voltage terminal blocks and sized for copper conductors only. The connector is sized to accept parallel line feeds up to 500 MCM each per pole.

Time Delay Relay

time-delay-relay

TUTCO Time Delay Relays provide 30 to 60 seconds when energizing or de-energizing the circuit controlled. The relay can be used with control voltages of 24 to 277.

Pilot Light Indicator

pilot-light

TUTCO Pilot Lights are installed in the side panel for indicating the following heater conditions: heater energized, step-energized and air flow switch open. Pilot light control voltages must be 24 or 120 volts.
